I adore makeup and most of the time, I love my blush-on and contour popping like crazy.
But lately, I saw Heart Evangelista Escudero do an IG-live of her doing her own makeup using this brand, Nudestix. As soon as she’s done doing her makeup, I immediately got obsessed with the brand to the point that I bought 2 of their products ASAP. Good thing Sephora PH caters this too.
Nudestix mission is awesome : go nude but better. I’m not a fan of Korean-made products especially their cream sticks / highlighter gel because after trying tons of local and international makeup brands who sell Korean-made products, I find all of them patchy, cakey, drying and easy to remove. I’m also not a fan of blush-ons by nature because I love contour more and I find my Bobbi Brown bronzer long-lasting than my blush-ons. But still, the new products I purchased from Nudestix show how risky this attempt is.
I first opted for a blush-on because I’m thinking that a bronzer stick isn’t a good choice for someone who loves a matte and long-lasting contour. A cream blush-on may last just the same as the powder formula, but I’m hoping to see better results. As scared as I may be, I bought a warm rose mauve shade named Naughty N’ Spice. I expect it to be used as a pre-contour as well.
It has a Korean gel technology that allows the color to blend easily with the skin without the patchy or drying feeling. It turns into a weightless powder finish that is semi-matte (not as matte as the others). It can be used with or without foundation. I wear it on top of my primer-foundation-loose powder. Best part about it is it doesn’t show my pores and though it doesn’t really last long as expected, it doesn’t cake and it still looks like a natural flush, even after hours.
It comes with its own removable mini brush that I really love to use. In applying the cream blush-on, you need a few strokes on your cheeks, eyes or middle of your nose then just dab it gently (don’t wipe or brush) to make the color concentrated on the desired area. The brush is so soft (not irritating on the face), useful and compact. It can be easily removed for cleaning.
This is where everything began. As soon as Heart E applied this on her face, boom! I know I gotta have it! It’s more on a glow, less glitter glimmer. The gel turns into a skin-like finish with a weightless glow. I love that it doesn’t turn matte nor oily, just melts in your skin evenly. No need to swipe with a brush, just gently pat it with your fingers.
Isn’t it amazing that their packaging has a useful lightweight tin container with a mirror. I love that both of these products are waterproof and weightless.
Last week, we were at Boracay and I find Nudestix very helpful. I love that they are both compact and light – spacesaver. I have to remove my 2nd pouch out of my bag because I don’t need to bring brushes anymore. I also love how light and young my skin looks with Nudestix.
With Nudestix, I only need 20 minutes to finish this look, hair not included. I love that I need less time to fix myself with mininum makeup products.
On this look, I only used Nudestix cream blush-on and gel highlighter on my whole face : eyes, cheeks, chin, and forehead. Look how simple my look is. I appreciate that despite the warm temperature we currently have at Boracay, my makeup didn’t melt nor cake. I was able to swim without leaving my skin dry nor sticky.
Here are some sneak peek photos of our Boracay vacation applying only Nudestix products on my face.
How do you like my “no makeup” look so far? Do you think I should also buy their cream bronzer? Or powder products are still way better than cream?
