OOTD : Bairbre Ft Dior Addict

Plains & Prints purple sale has just ended a few days ago. I grabbed the chance to buy some dresses I missed from 2014’s collection. Here’s one of the dresses I got from them.

Looking at it from afar.. I was thinking.. the colors are risky for someone like me who’s in a bigger packaging. I’m usually on the safe side of fashion – wearing black, brown, red.. Not really the type who wears a combo. 😣

This dress proved to me that risks matter. The vertical lines on the bottom part of the dress made an illusion of a taller me and the dark blue upper part of my dress helped in hiding some “flaws” as well. Add a necklace to keep the attention away from other things. 😅 Voila! All ready for a date with my hubby. 😍

I’m honored to meet Aimee of Dior Philippines. I took this photo of ours because I can’t help but notice how good she is in putting her own makeup on. The look is perfect for her! I adore how Dior handles their customers and how professional they look like. I was given the opportunity to try some of their best products and I’m gonna review it now.

Let’s start with their perfumes. Miss Dior perfume smelled lighter compared with J’adore but it’s best for those who have sensitive skin and allergy to perfumes. I love its cute packaging and its ability to catch attention. J’adore on the other hand has a very impressive smell. It is addicting in some point (I even use it at home 😁) and the smell lasts longer compared to other perfumes out there. I am allergic to perfumes but for some reason, I can tolerate Dior! 😊 I think I’ve found my official scent!

Have you seen how matte Ofra liquid lipstick can be? My lips won’t cooperate if it wasn’t for Dior Addict Lip Glow. At first I thought.. what kind of packaging is this? Since the cover is made of plastic.. I’m not that impressed at first!

But after removing the cover, I was indulged in the beauty of its metal container and the smell of this addicting LIP glow! Does it actually make your lip GLOW? No! It does even better! It also makes your lips healthier, more fragrant and even softer. Dior Addict Lip Glow revitalizes the lips as easy as 1-2-3. After using their lip glow, I already know that I’m addicted to Dior. 😨

Check the lashes! See what I mean when I said that Dior is addicting? This is why! Diorshow mascara lengthens and volumizes the eyelashes perfectly! I have to quote Aimee on this.. she said, “Once you try Dior, it’s hard to escape and use other brands.” I have to agree with her.. and may I add.. “Dior doesn’t only mean sophistication.. it also means STANDARDS!” They did pass my standards and even exceeded what I’ve expected from them.. I’m so glad that thru Chielo, one of the nicest managers I’ve met, I became a Dior addict!

Using the Eternal Gold eyeshadow palette from Dior’s holiday collection, I made a different approach when it comes to combining green/grey, purple and black.

Please forgive the shiny nose that was made by my highlighter. 😂 In this look, I was wearing one of the best powders I’ve tried — Diorskin Nude Air compact powder.

Pros :

• light as air (it’s barely there)
• packaging is AWESOME and STURDY. It has a chic container.
• the kabuki brush it comes with is best to use for contouring
• no more flash photos. It will make your look photoready.
• it’s light but it can actually last up to 10 hours maximum!
• it has a mirror inside 😅
• it’s DIOR. PERIOD. 😄

Cons :

• if the user has a lot of blemishes, satin and luminous foundation won’t work with this powder. You will always need a high coverage foundation and tons of concealer on
• you may attempt to add more.. but it will never feel “more.” This is bad for those who want to “feel” that they have makeup on.
• the kabuki brush doesn’t have its own container
• it is non-refillable
• EXPENSIVE

Because of Dior, my love for makeup has been fueled. I was challenged and because of that, I exerted more effort in recreating my look weekly. As much as possible, I want to reinvent new and exciting looks that will come from Dior’s unique eyeshadow palettes. I can’t wait to try more from Dior! 😊 It’s confirmed. I am a DIOR ADDICT!
