OOTD : Beijing

Hello guys and gals! I hope everyone’s doing great (especially the Filipinos) even in the midst of typhoon Lando. God is good!

He will cover you with his feathers. He will shelter you with his wings. His faithful promises are your armor and protection. Psalm 91:4

The typhoon landed Sunday morning in the Philippine area of responsibility. Though I am also experiencing typhoon just as the other Filipinos, my fashion sense is in “Beijing” mode as I wear a dress named Beijing. A dress that is completely not typhoon friendly. 😅 I am known as someone who loves to dress up but I always see to it that I prioritize comfort over fashion. Unfortunately, I didn’t expect the strong wind and rain to happen. I thought Manila will be spared from it. 😯

Beijing Dress from Plains & Prints 2014 Holiday Collection – Modern Metropolis

Modern Metropolis
This collection is a series of Holiday Dresses with prints inspired by some of the famous cities in the world, the likes of Milan, Shanghai and London. This season, take a trip around the world in stunning colors and cheerful prints of Modern Metropolis.

Yep! I went to church, shopped in Megamall and had an MRI wearing this. 😅 That’s what you call a lady with hope.. Hope to have a weaker wind to save my dress from being blown… and so the solution is to hold my dress tightly like this. 😅

Usually, the style that Plains & Prints releases during their Holiday collection is not for my body type. Not like the Summer and Pre-Fall Collection where I can easily find a nice dress, Holiday Collection is the complete opposite. Now that we are in the Holiday Collection era, obviously, I won’t be visiting Plains & Prints for months which means more chances for me to find another brand to love and blog about. 👡👗👢⌚👒

My backdrop for today is from my church’s creative idea to put up a beautiful set-up for our topic entitled “Behind The Seen.” It’s about the Holy Spirit who works “behind the seen” to make our lives better, happier and stronger. We may not see the Holy Spirit, but once we invite Him in our day to day activities, extraordinary things will happen. Try to pray before doing something ordinary and wait for the Holy Spirit to manifest even in little things. 🙏

I missed making a “purple pink” eyeshadow so I created another one using my MAC Veluxe A Trois.

Since my outfit and makeup are already over the top. I went lighter on my accessories. 😶

According to Tripadvisor.com, there are over 700 sights and landmarks in Beijing. That is probably the reason why Plains & Prints named this dress after it. A perfect place to visit during holidays. Most probably a perfect dress to wear when in Beijing. 😚
