OOTD : Flossie Ft MAC Oh, Darling!

Hello! How’s everyone during this APEC week? Are you also APEC-tado? πŸ˜… At the end of the day, let us stop complaining and see this as an opportunity for our country to gain more economic growth. 😊 We too got stranded last week; but as usual, we need to find the silver lining in every situation.

For today’s OOTD post, my dress came from Plains & Prints Pre-Fall 2014 collection. Holiday 2015 isn’t too alluring for me so I’m throwing back some clothes from last year. πŸ˜‰

Matched with nude heels and gold accessories, blue stood out. The dress is highlighted. πŸ˜‰

For my make-up, I used Nars eyeshadow palette and Laura Mercier nude lipstick.

I love metallic and highlighters. I can’t imagine how these products can highlight a part of our face and bring glow to our usual dull skin. Just like thisΒ :

Ohhh!!! See what happened there? Now imagine a metallic highlighter with an extra dimension skinfinish from MAC?

I sincerely love MAC. This brand is one of the first brands I’ve tried when I started to learn how to put make-up on. My old pink highlighter is from MAC as well. Now, I bought their new MAC Oh, Darling! Highlighter from the Magic of the Night Collection.

Pros :

  • it is a metallic highlighter with gold sparkles
  • it adds dimension to theΒ face
  • royal blue packaging
  • blendable with wet finish
  • it sculpts and highlights
  • hides pores
  • gives a “sun and gold” kissed look
  • lasts up to 10hrs without touching up

Cons :

  • light plastic container; not sturdy
  • not subtle
  • limited edition; hard to re-purchase
  • more expensive compared to MAC’S regular-line highlighters

I love this highlighter so much! It tones down the strong eyeshadows I usually make. So as this Flossie dress from Plains & Prints – just like “MAC Oh Darling!”, it also highlights the curves and hides the flaws. Letting us see what is best about us and not what the mirror dictates us. This is the beauty of the highlighter – it highlights what needs to be seen and it gives us a glow that we should’ve had a long time ago.

        1. u know what? I accidentally tried this when one of MAC makeup artists helped me out on their mascara. Her face is glowing! I got jealous and immediately tried it on. at first I was hesitant.. but after noticing that it actually lasts longer.. I hurriedly bought it!!! Im glad I did!!!
